The toaster, oven, and dining area were just fancy enough for my spoiled taste buds. The 1.5 km walk to the railway station was an absolute delight, burning off all the calories from the full English breakfasts I had.
Oh, the joy of being woken up by the sweet sound of a construction site at 7 am. Bliss!

The apartment at Waterside Retreat @ Ryedale House was absolutely stunning, with parquet floors that added a touch of elegance to the whole place. I felt like a VIP guest! The city views from the apartment were breathtaking. Waking up to such a beautiful sight made my stay even more memorable. Having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a shower, bath, and a hairdryer was a major convenience. It felt like a home away from home.
Personally, I found the parquet floors a bit slippery at times. But hey, that's just my opinion.

One positive aspect of my stay was the convenient central location of the apartment. It was situated right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore the nearby attractions, restaurants, and shops. Another advantage was the secure private car park that came with the apartment. Not having to worry about expensive parking fees was definitely a relief. Lastly, the welcome box provided by the hotel was a thoughtful touch. It contained all the essentials like tea, coffee, milk sachets, as well as some snacks like chocolate. It was a nice gesture and added a personal touch to my stay.
Although the decor of the apartment was stylish, I found it to be a bit too flashy and overdone for my taste. It felt like the designers were more concerned with impressing others rather than creating a cozy and comfortable ambiance.

The apartment's central location was perfect, making it easy to explore the city. It also had a secure private car park, which saved me from the pricey parking fees in the area. The tasteful decoration and amazing views added to the overall pleasant experience. Additionally, the thoughtful welcome box with various goodies was a lovely touch.
The sofa in the apartment kept sliding apart, which was quite annoying.

The apartment had stunning city views, which made me feel like I was right in the heart of York. The parquet floors gave the place a stylish and modern feel that I absolutely loved. With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, there was plenty of space for all of us to relax and get ready for a night out. The bathrooms were equipped with both a shower and a bath, which made it easy for us to choose how to unwind after a long day.
Personally, I'm not a fan of showers and would have preferred a bathtub instead.
